By the time someone is aware of having an STD, most performers in the circle might already be at risk!

Although Taiwan's AV filming emphasizes safety, typically ensuring the use of condoms and presenting health check certificates, according to the actress, those who do not have long-term contracts with studios might fake their health reports, fraudulently presenting themselves as healthy. It's absolutely deplorable!

How does Japan handle this?

In 2018, Japan, as a leading AV producer, also faced concerns about STDs. Back then, a new actress, who was being heavily promoted by a studio, was suddenly found to have contracted an STD, causing panic within the industry. This led to several actresses permanently retiring from the AV industry.

However, Japan's safety measures before filming are actually commendable. The actors and actresses must provide STD checks monthly, showing their results before filming. If they fail the check, filming is not allowed. Even though uncensored videos label the scenes as "insertions without condoms," they actually use them, cleverly masked by pixelation. It's no wonder most actresses prefer to film censored videos, as it provides added security!
