Let's start with a brief synopsis of the plot.

Our heroine, Saori Etou, hears the doorbell ring one day while she's alone at home due to her parents being away. A strange man appears holding an odd device.

This man claims that the device is called a "Geiger Counter," designed for detecting nuclear radiation. The unsuspecting young girl lets him into the house to perform a check. Unexpectedly, she receives a blow to the head, knocking her out, and finds herself gagged and tied up with tape.

Thus begins the ordeal where Saori is repeatedly subjected to this man's abuse.

The nightmare continues until Saori’s parents return and discover the horrible scene. They decide to move away from the area. Unfortunately, Saori develops PTSD, becoming terrified whenever she hears a doorbell.

By now, you can probably understand why the work is so controversial, right?

After the devastating nuclear disaster caused by the 311 earthquake in Japan, this plot felt like rubbing salt in the wounds of the nation’s trauma. On top of that, it's centered around the forbidden topic of lolita, bound to stir up a storm!

Even more seriously, in 2017 someone actually imitated the actions in the manga with a young girl, prompting the original creator to be contacted by the police for questioning, facing severe social backlash.
